PCCPTA Awards

Florida PTA Awards Information

PTA dues and bylaws must be up to date to qualify for awards. All membership dues must be received in the state office by March 31, 2009! Applications must be received by the application deadline. Winners will be announced at the PCCPTA Banquet.

Administrator's Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize the close working relationship between a local unit and a school administrator and to honor administrators for their support.

Adopt-A-PTA Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize local PTA units that demonstrate fellowship and cooperation by reaching out to another local PTA unit in need.

Community Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize some of the outstanding community service projects/events sponsored or supported with local units during the year. Local units are invited to submit their special service program.

Excellence In Advocacy Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize the local primary and local secondary PTA units who best demonstrate excellence in their efforts to support and speak on behalf of children and youth.

Golden Participation Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize all local units that are active participants in the PTA process by having had representation at most of the PTA events and meetings this year.

 

Health and Safety Award


           The purpose of this award is to recognize local PTAs that focus on the health and safety of children by keeping up-to-date on health and safety topics, participate in countywide health and safety events, and offer an effective health and safety related program or event for their school.

 

Legislative Advocacy Award

 

The purpose of this award is to recognize all local units who demonstrate a commitment to fulfilling the PTA Purpose: “To secure adequate laws for the protection of children and youth.” All PTA unit that earn 250 or more points will qualify to receive this award.

 

President’s Membership Award


The purpose of this award is to recognize local PTA/PTSA units that have the highest percentage increase over last year’s memberships. This award will be presented to an elementary PTA and a middle/high school PTA/PTSA

Newsletter Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize the best PTA newsletter published by our local units. To qualify, a local unit must submit two newsletters from this school year and the entry form.

Outstanding Program Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize some of the many outstanding programs sponsored by local units this year. Local units are invited to submit their special program or event.

PTA Partnership Award
 

The purpose of this award is to recognize local PTA units that demonstrate teamwork by partnering with fellow PTA units by assisting to help make their programs successful either by donations, co-hosting or spreading the program information by advertising through both units, etc

President's Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize the contributions or accomplishments an outstanding PTA/PTSA president has made to your school.

President's Theme Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize the local unit that has, through the programs and events they sponsored this year, best demonstrated a commitment to the President's theme. This award is a comprehensive overview of the local unit accomplishments. These programs/events/activities must be non-profit and support the goals and objectives of PTA. They should enhance, benefit or meet a specific need of the children and youth within the local unit.

Stepping Up to the Challenge Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize one outstanding program sponsored by a local unit following the monthly theme. Criteria: Programs must be non-profit and support the goals and objectives of PTA. They should enhance, benefit and strengthen the local unit by fulfilling an identified need of the membership using that month’s theme.

Student/Student Group Recognition Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize the contributions or accomplishments a secondary level student or student group has made to PTA/PTSA.

Student Participation Award


        The purpose of this award is to recognize all local PTSAs that encourage active student participation. Students are a valuable and integral part of PTSA. Student awareness and involvement today will ensure that PTA continues to be a strong voice in the future.
 

Volunteer of the Year Award


The purpose of this award is to recognize the PTA Volunteer who has made a valuable contribution to their local unit over the past year.
 

PTA Website Award


The purpose of this award is to recognize the best PTA website published by a local unit.

 

Working Hand in Hand Partnership Award


The purpose of this award is to recognize a local unit partner. Criteria: Programs must be non-profit and support the goals and objectives of PTA. They should enhance, benefit and strengthen the local unit. Your partner must have made a significant contribution in your program/event.
